2nd Annual Feral Rescue Raffle

Hi everyone,

It's time for my second annual Feral Rescue Raffle. This year the prizes include seven wonderful handmade craft items donated by local artisans. Tickets are only $2.00 for a chance to win ONE of these seven amazing prizes. The prize draw will be held on December 19th...in time for Christmas! The seven lucky winners will be notified by phone and the winners will also be posted here on hfxferalrescue.blogspot.com.

Tickets are on sale at the three "Best Friends Pet Supplies" locations...Clayton Park, Bedford and Tantallon.

All of the proceeds from this raffle will be used for the spay, neuter, vaccination and shelter of feral cats in HRM.

Leo and Tony Find a New Home

Lori has been fostering four adorable tabby kittens for the last few months. Great news, two of the kittens have found a loving home in Eastern Passage. As you can see they have
settled in nicely.

Food Donations

Calls have gone out to local businesses requesting donations of surplus cat food to help feed the various cat colonies. We are hopeful that a few local businesses will be able to help offset the cost of feeding the colonies over the long cold winter ahead. Thank you to everyone who received our calls. Hopefully some generous local business owners will help with this cause. We'll keep you posted as donations arrive.

Cute Brothers!

These two adorable brothers were found in the Hubley area. One is very outgoing while the other is a little shy. Both have been neutered and vaccinated and are ready for adoption!

Mother Cat & Kitten News

Sorry but we don't have any current photos of the mother cat & kittens to post. The mother cat was having some breathing problems so Lori M. decided it was safest to leave her with the vet for a while. Reports say that mother and kittens are doing well. Mom is still very shy of humans but the kittens (now 3 weeks old) are growing in size and social skills. Will keep you posted on developments.

Latest Arrivals!!

Lori M. picked up this tiger tabby female for a spay and release last week. The vet discovered that she was due any day! The mother cat was safely kenneled in Lori's rescue room and on Friday, Oct. 3 three kittens arrived. Mom and babies are doing well. They are safe, warm, dry and well fed.
